Creative Therapy

Therapy is about working together to reveal the real you. We will develop a mutually respectful therapeutic relationship where you can express yourself, speak your truth and find your own power.

You may wish to engage in therapy for many reasons, some of which are:

  • Feeling stuck
  • Relationship break-up
  • Blocked creativity
  • Distressing or re-occuring dreams
  • Change of career direction
  • Problematic relationships
  • Bereavement
  • Physical symptoms with no clear cause
  • Lack of confidence or low self-esteem
  • Seeking a sense of purpose or meaning to your life
  • Spiritual development and growth

What happens in a session? I can take your lead on what you want to explore and I will support you to navigate your way through difficult experiences, dreams, thoughts and feelings. I may enquire about particular patterns or links between different life events, or ask questions about what you have said so that you can gain deeper insights.

Sometimes words simply aren't adequate to describe an experience or sensation. And so you may want to express yourself in other creative ways when you feel it's appropriate. This can involve using art materials, movement, drama, poetry or music. No artisic skill is required, just a willingness to have a go and learn to trust yourself.

Exploring body senstions and movements can often give suprising and powerful insights. Working with our bodies can be extremely helpful in connecting us to becoming a whole person; body, mind and spirit.

Therapy can be for some an intruiging dynamic life process of continuing change and transformation, that enables us to live, and I mean truly live - revealing hidden talents, abilities and creative potential.

Life then takes off and becomes a magical enchanting adventure that continually entices one to take a leap into the unknown and trust.

How long do we work together for?
This is up to you. I suggest we meet for an initial session to talk through why you want to come, what works for you and to see if you're going to feel comforable with me. Then if you want to continue,
we can agree upon a set number of sessions, or decide on an open end date. You can then end when you feel ready.
